Salon Studios was founded by Roz Colthart in July 2019. Roz is a seasoned business professional with over 25 years of experience in senior sales and marketing positions for globally recognized brands. She holds a Global Masters in Business (MBA) from Edinburgh Napier University and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Positive Psychology from East London University. In 2020, Roz was one of 50 people recognized by the British Government campaign as a 'Great Inspiration' for her free work to support independent hair and beauty professionals through COVID. Her contributions have been featured in national press, and Roz has received numerous awards for her efforts.

Roz is a big believer that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Despite having no prior experience in the salon industry, upon discovering the salon suites model in USA, she had a "Eureka!" moment - the salon suites model had to come to the UK, and who better to do it than her? With a spark of inspiration and a dash of courage, Roz set out to bring the innovative concept to the UK. And voila! Salon Studios was born - a place where salon professionals can unleash their creativity and clients can indulge in a luxurious one-on-one unique experience.

By providing a platform for success and well-being, Roz hopes to empower others to follow their dreams, achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. Roz’s mission is to create a supportive and uplifting environment for salon professionals and clients alike.

Voluntary work

In her free time, Roz serves as an Ambassador for the Scottish Charity, Cancer Card, a remarkable organization that offers invaluable resources to cancer patients and their families throughout Scotland and Ireland.

Having personally witnessed the heartbreaking loss of her mother following an unexpected lung cancer diagnosis in 2021, Roz deeply understands the profound impact of accessible support in helping individuals through tough times. Motivated by her own journey, Roz maintains an unwavering dedication to ensuring that people have access to a wide range of assistance when facing similar challenging circumstances.
